The Club held its Open Show on the 30th January at the Stonehouse Community Centre in Gloucester. The judge this year was Elaine Short (Glenchess), who drew an entry of 88 dogs making 97 entries.

We seem to be losing the correct Cairn construction, too many upright shoulders & very short upper arms. Little spring of rib, resulting in poor front movement. Mouths and coats were good. Heads were weak with long muzzles and some very round eyes that spoilt the desired expression.

MPD:(2) 1; Goldfinch's Anjofra Hobbs, just 6 months, unsettled on the move but nicely constructed, good size and balance, red coat of good texture; 2;Weaver's Cloverbrook Hedgehunter for Copseleaze.

PD(2) 1;BP, Poiles Kedvaiy Harlequin, red, good head, balanced, level topline, good tailset. Needs to tighten up in front; 2; Thompsons Castleline Jackard.

JD(3) 1;Peer's Tweedisle That Special Man, good size, good head & expression, soundly constructed, coat in good order, moved well; 2;Harrison & Inetts Carradine Percy Pickle; 3; Ough's Ocedar Zephyr.

MD(1) Abs.

ND(1) 1;Gill's Copseleaze Light Skies, wh/br., good head & mouth, up to size, coat texture good, level topline. Moved a little close behind.

GD(2) 1;RBD, Parker-Tuckers Uniquecottage Chipmunk, gr/br, b/m, good size & balance, nice head, good teeth, level topline held on the move; 2: O Zephyr.

LD(5) 1; Thomas & Ward's Vanajam Three Wishes for Tycadno, smart wh/br, nicely balanced of correct size, good angulation, moved well ,keeping topline; 2; Fairweather's Ock Ross I'm the Boss, 3; Waites' Seveek Country Rambler to Svenalens.

OD(4) 1;BD, Confue's Anjofra Bang On The Door, reddest of reds with superb head, good eye giving correct expression, well constructed, moved well, moved better when handler relaxes and loosens the lead; 2; Cadogan's Dogan Jamesy Cotter; 3; Peer's Tweedisle Truffle.

VD/B(2) 1; Confue's Ch Anjofra Charlie Tango, red bitch nearly 12 years & carrying them extremely well, moved nimbly & with drive, lovely head & eye of correct proportions, well made body; 2;Fairweather's Ock Enchanted Shadow.

BD/B(2) 1; Woodward's Anjofra Desert Trouper, red, nice head, smart compact dog, kept topline on the move, moved soundly; 2; C Light Skies.

MPB(8) 1; Confue's Anjofra Nine West, red just 6 months, good proportions, nice head , moved OK, good quality coat; 2; Liftons Anjofra Treacle Tart at Lilycairn; 3; Cadogan's Tycadno Athena at Dogan.

PB(4) 1; Krzyszkowski's Corrandulla Carousel, smart r/br, very showy and assured, responsive to handler, new coat coming, moved OK; 2; Ough's Ocedar Willow The Wisp ; 3; Keeve's Seveek River of Dreams.

JB(5) 1; Harrison & Inett's Curtisey Foreign Affair at Carradine, one of the best movers of the day, up to size wheaten, well laid shoulders, good rear angulation, level topline, attractive head, coat of good texture; 2; Weaver's Copseleaze Harriet; 3; Moseley's Spawyche Elizabethan Ruby.

MB(3) 1BPB, Confues Anjofra Queen of Tarts, r/br, 6 months but more mature than sister, moved well, good head, soundly construted, good coat coming, good topline; 2; O Willow the Wisp; 3; Bailey's Ensordoone Terracotta Girl.

NB(3) 1; Peer's Tweedisle Smitten by Gold, good head, sound mover when settled, good topline & tailset, well constructed; 2;Ward's Vanajam Hokus Pokus; 3; Thomas' Tycadno Caprice.

GB(3) 1; Radford's Skimmerton Silver Touch, gr/br, soundly construted, level topline held on the move. Needs to slow down on the move as rushes forwards & flattens her ears. 2; T Caprice; 3; Soper's Glenmear Martine.

LB(4) 1; Kinton's Woodthorpe Luck be a Lady, r/br, very good head & expression, well constructed throughout, very showy; 2; Keeve's Seveek Chasing Dreams; 3; Carter's Tarcret Silver Star.

OB(6) 1; BIS, Parker-Tucker's Uniquecottage Glengettie, r/br, correctly proportioned head, good mouth, eye & expression, made correctly fore and aft allowing her to cover the ground effortlessly & with drive, topline dead level, held on the move, tailset correct, good bone, never stops showing, very worthy winner; 2;RBB, Smee's Oudenarde Belle Amour, impish dark gr/br, little smaller than 1, coat in good order. good head & expression, correctly made & can cover the ground; 3; Ward's Vanajam Trick A Treat.
